Remember weight loss is only one way of assessing your success, the way you feel and how your clothes fit is also a great way to see results
The best way to burn more energy is exercise! at least 30 minutes per day
Energy in has to be less than energy output inorder for you to lose weight
Fat and sugar are high in energy per gram therefore supply high amounts of high compared to protein and complex carbohydrates
Eat at least 5 small meals per day
Do not starve the body of food or it will go into survival mode and slow down your metabolism, resulting in less weight loss
Choose low fat dairy options like trim milk and edam cheese
Do not eat in front of the TV or whilst standing in the kitchen, always sit down to eat your food
Have a glass of water with lemon prior to your meal to aid with digestion
Do not have high calcium foods with meat as it will block the iron absorption, instead have some vitamin C with the meal to enhance the absorption
Serve food on a smaller plate and give yourself smaller portions of food
Use correction portion sizes, protein the size and thickness of you palm
If you are good and stick to your eating plan for 80% of the time, you are allowed one treat per week
If you slip up on your eating plan and have a few naughty foods, do not think of the day as being a total failure, but move on, and continue to eat healthily for the rest of the day
Remember what you are achieving is a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating plan, this is not a restrictive diet that only lasts a few weeks
